Ilsa H. duVerney J.P., M.A., O.D.C.C., a Certified Organisation Development (OD) Consultant is Founder/Chairman/CEO of Caribbean Centre for Organisation Development Excellence Limited (CARI-CODE), “Creating Centres of Excellence through Synergy.” For twenty-five years she served as Managing Director of Productivity Plus Limited, a Jamaican HUMAN RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT company which she started. She is a Justice of the Peace.

She holds degrees from the University of the West Indies (BA 1985) Communication & Social Sciences and the University of Cincinnati (MA 1995) in collaboration with NTL-National Training Laboratories –Institute for Applied Behavioural Sciences, Psychology and Human Resources Development. She has been an adjunct Instructor/Lecturer at three Universities in Jamaica, she has over 30 years experience in Human Resource Development.  Mrs. duVerney trained as a trainer through the Industrial Society (England), Training House (USA), JIDC, (JAMPRO) and NTL. She is a certified Work Team Coach and is trained in Extended DISC behavioural assessments.

Mrs. duVerney founded three Associations for the professional development of members, the Jamaica Association for Training and Development (JATAD) now the Human Resource Management Association of Jamaica (HRMAJ), The Jamaica Customer Service Association (JaCSA) and the Caribbean Organisation Development Network (CODN). She has been given the JATAD Pioneer Outstanding Contribution Award as well as an award for creating opportunities in HRD by the University of Cincinnati and NTL – bringing the first HRD Masters programme to the Caribbean. She was recipient of the Woman of Excellence Award for selfless service to the wider community and to her Alma Mater, Convent of Mercy Academy Alpha. She also received the ICON award from HRMAJ who cited her, “A national treasure.”

She has designed and facilitated several strategic retreats and workshops for managers, educators, trainers, customer service and other personnel in the Caribbean region.  She is one of the  pioneer facilitators in JaCSA’s offering of the International Certification Programme with a Caribbean Perspective She has served on several Boards and for years she wrote on HRD issues in the Business section of Jamaica’s Daily Gleaner (newspaper).  She has worked in several islands in the Caribbean and has led proactively, the gamut of Human Resource Projects in several organisations. She has facilitated sessions in Florida for the Institute of Organisation Development and has been a presenter at their International Conferences.

She spent many years as a volunteer and also served on the Council of the Association for Mentally Handicapped Children. She is committed to works of Mercy and serves as Jamaica’s local leader for the Mercy Associate in Jamaica. Ilsa enjoys having the opportunity to serve. She considers her work to be “worship.” She is very family oriented, enjoys plants/planting and is passionate about national development.
